REVIEWS 7/08 We went to Jamaica over the 4th of July. This was our first trip. The resort was above our expectations!!! It was very nice, the grounds are spectacular, the water was great, and even the beach was very clean with nice palapas for shade! The staff was excellent too. We thought the resort was well worth the money and we have recommended Breezes to several people and we are looking forward to going back next year. There is so much to do just at the resort. Golf was good. We were advised to put our reservations for the snorkeling, glass bottom boat, catamaran, as soon as we arrived. They are included in your package, but it fills up fast! This is a WONDERFUL getaway for adults!! Thanks to our travel agent for recommending it (cherie@vacationagent.net)! Bob, Michigan ********** 6/08 We will definitely return to BRB again! This was our first trip to Jamaica and we thought it would be our last. But Breezes Runaway Bay restored us! This resort is beautiful! As soon as we walked in the lobby we were greeted with smiles, given a drink, and told to relax. The views, the staff, the food, everything was great! The rooms were nice with a flatscreen tv and nice showers. The water sports were a lot of fun and always had something to do; snorkeling, glass bottom boats, hobie cats, etc., The pools were great , especially the swim up bar! Great drinks, top-shelf, but you do need to ask for them (bartender is great). The buffet always had a great variety and one evening they even set up dinner on the beach by candlelight! The Reggae Cafe offers burgers/jerk chicken and fries. The Starlight Grill and Munasan restaurants were delicious. The salad bar and chocolate mousse at Pastafari were good, but the Italian entrees are better back home. The BRB staff was always smiling and when my husband didn't bring dress pants (as Pastafari requires), the manager offered a pair on loan and had them cleaned and pressed in our room for the night of our reservation. That's service! We went to Dunns River Falls to experience other areas of Jamaica, but so much is available on the resort, we could have just stayed on property the whole time! The afternoon/nightly entertainment was fun (Chris is hilarious) and the late nights at the disco were pretty lively. We will definitely return to Breezes Runaway Bay! Ya Mon!!! Angela, Indiana ********* 3/08 The beach is beautiful at this resort. The food is questionable in several of the restaurants, but very good at the buffet, starlight grill & the Japanese place is excellent! The spa is full service and the massages were wonderful. The bar had top shelf liquor and plenty of Red Stripe. Compared to the rest of the resorts on the island the age & condition is pretty standard. New showers in the renovated rooms are very nice and we would recommend getting a veranda suite with a plunge pool for the room location alone. If you are looking for a wild nightlife, look elsewhere. The staff is friendly and we would return. The golf, scuba, snorkeling, etc are nice inclusions if you want to keep busy! M.J. Chicago ********** 1/08 My husband and I stayed at Breezes Runaway Bay in Jan'08 and absolutely loved every minute of it. The food was amazing (especially the italian and japanese restaurants) and the staff were friendly and helpful. You were always greeted with a smile. The pools were great, the ocean was beautiful and our room was very clean and well kept daily. It was also very quiet in our section where we stayed. We will definitely be returning again and would recommend it to anyone, especially if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. Julie, MN ********** 1/08 We're a 40-something couple from New York looking for hot weather in January. Our stay here was great. The weather was beautiful and the surroundings were real nice. The wait staff was real nice, but the receptionists and tour people and some others didn't want to bother. The food was pretty good, not prime meats, but the salads and veggies were very good. The grounds were well kept and the beach was clean and raked every morning. One major complaint was the environmentally friendly shower head. Very misty water flow and the water would not stay at one temp, it got very hot and then very cold while I was taking a shower. There were plenty of activities. Overall our stay was good. I would recommend it to friends but would not go back myself. Jeff, NY **********
