Couples Sans Souci Jamaica

Nestled in the heart of Ocho Rios, within walking distance of many of the great attractions that this bustling town has to offer, the Couples Sans Souci Resort is an oceanfront oasis of peace and tranquility. It provides a truly unique Jamaican experience for families and couples alike who wish to see more of Jamaica than the confines of an All Inclusive resort. Guests enjoy Ocho Rios and sample the local fare and lifestyle. Come back and sunbathe on the sand or relax poolside then enjoy the spectacular view from your private balcony overlooking the crystal blue Caribbean.

10/07 Jenny - We stayed at Couples Sans Souci from Sept 17 - Sept 24th for our wedding. Definitely take the shuttle from the Montego Bay airport to the resort we actually took a taxi after being talked into it when we arrived at the airport & $100 later we only arrived 15 minutes sooner than the shuttle bus & we had to pay for drinks where as the shuttle had free liquor - OOPS. Anyhow, the resort upon arrival we were awestricken by the initial beauty. Our mouths dropped as soon as we pulled into the resort. Check in was quick & we were chauffeured to our room. We were in a beachfront suite. When we first opened our door we were utterly amazed at the size of the room & all that it had to offer inside. Waiting for us was a fruit & cheese platter & chilled champagne. Throughout the week we did notice a lot of moisture in the rooms but it's a humid climate, your next to the beach - what do you expect - it's the Caribbean. This resort is absolutely incredible despite other reviews we've read. We figure some people must be hard to please.

Our wedding - We didn't really know what was going on with the wedding it just sort of all fell into place. But we would have liked a little more knowledge of what to expect. The gazebo overlooking the ocean was were we got married & it was beautiful. A fairytale come true. We opted on the DVD & pictures which are additional. The DVD was awesome, definitely worth every cent. The pictures were really dark & we were glad family took pictures as they turned out better than the pictures we paid for.

The beach is cleaned constantly & although some people may feel it is too small we enjoyed the intimate feeling the beach produced. It was never too busy & we never felt crowded. There was no flag service or wait staff on the beach but 15 steps away & you can get your own drink & mingle with the awesome staff & guests. The only activity we took part in was the glass bottom boat. However, we did sign up for scuba-diving many times during the week but we cancelled each time because we had too much fun the night before that the 8:45am class was too much for us to handle after partying until the wee hours of the morning. Lots of activities throughout the resort during the day. If you want to be busy you can be if you want to relax - RELAX.

Beach Bar for lunch.OH MY GOD amazing! Definitely have the Jerk Pork, Jerk Chicken, pizza, triple hamburgers & fries, yum, yum, yum. Kenroy was great. Pallazina - Breakfast buffet is great (omelets made to order, pancakes made to order.) Lunch buffet & dinner menu is wonderful - lots of selection. Casanova - Food was exquisite. But we agree with another review to get rid of the sport coat policy. Its true guys take them off as soon as they sit down. Room Service - anyone that complains about the room service & lack of selection is missing a few marbles. Great selection from fruit & cheese platters, sandwiches & fries, nachos, wings, entrees such as salmon, filet mignon, & desserts. What more could you need. AWESOME! The staff is so friendly & they make you feel like you are welcome & that you are never putting a burden on them & anything you want or need they will get. "Everyting is IRIE MON."

I could go on & on about this resort.& pictures do not do this place justice. We will 110% be back. We spent a week at Couples Swept Away in Negril for our honeymoon the week after we were at Sans Souci & let's just say there was no comparison. Sans Souci was 11/10 while Couples Swept Away was 2.5/10 if that. CSA had a nice beach but that's all it had to offer.

1/07 We stayed at Couples San Souci from January 21st to the 28th. It was the best vacation, wedding and honeymoon ever!! We stayed in B-block which was a short distance from everything - the pool, the beach, and many of the restaurants. We booked a one bedroom oceanfront suite which was upgraded to a jacuzzi suite upon our arrival. The room was tastefully decorated and had the best view!! Our wedding was amazing! The staff at San Souci had everything taken care of. We had a beautiful day and our pictures turned out fantastic! The evening of our wedding we had a private dinner in the wedding gazebo served by Cassanova's restaurant. It was the most romantic setting, fresh flowers, candle light, and the sound of the sea!! When we returned to our room the housekeeping staff had lit up our entire room with candles and spread rose petals across the bed. We were shocked - neither of us asked for this treatment. This just shows the extra mile the staff will go to make your stay at San Souci so special.

********

In one word, Hotel Sans Souci is Romance. It is hidden in nature, built into the cliffs and blended around the trees and perfectly nestled by the water. The rooms are quaint, with balconies, and all have ocean views. The beds were comfortable, and each room has a top shelf liquor selection along with a fridge full of soda, juice, and (of course) red stripe. What it comes down to is if you're the type that only likes the large chain conglomerate hotels where all the rooms look the same no matter what city you're in and you want the largest possible swimming pool ever made (even though the ocean is right there), this may not be the right hotel. This is more of a boutique hotel resort that is uniquely romantic, beautiful, and memorable. I've been to all-inclusive resorts all over the Caribbean, but Couples Sans Souci stands out in my mind like no other. The food is so good it's in another class all together than any all-inclusive I've ever stayed at. If you told me I had to pay $50 - $75 a person for the dinners I had there, I would fork it over in a heartbeat. Get the Sans Souci Special dessert and the Calamari at the Italian restaurant. Service is great, staff is all smiles and friendly and helpful. They say not to tip but believe me, you will find yourself wanting to.
