9/08 - This is the nicest resort we've ever been to and I can't wait to get back! It's very well managed with plenty of staff to help you. The beach is gorgeous, but bring water shoes. There's lots of large rocks in the water which can't be seen. It's hard to avoid if you are going out further to ride the waves, other than that, it's fabulous. The pools are huge, beautiful and clean. We brought floats and they got plenty of use. The wave pool is very cool, but it's more for kids. The highest water level came up to my waist. Fun to try and the kids love it. There's music at both the wave and pool bars. The bartenders are super. The mixed drinks are always weak, but you can just ask for another shot and you'll get it. The beer is cold. We never had to wait more than a minute for anything. They also provided fresh towels throughout the day, they never run out. The food is fabulous. The buffet has good selection. They also have plenty of food for kids. There are lots of kids at the resort. The star friends were wonderful with kids and adults. They provided plenty of activities for both. We never saw any bored or cranky kids, they always seemed to be occupied. We ate dinner one nite at the Brazilian restaurant located at the Del Mar and thought it was good. The guests staying there didn't seem so happy. After talking to a few people there, they said the food was terrible, the place wasn't clean and they were overcrowded. We never got sick or even felt sick from the food or drinks at the Lindo. The resort is immaculate and has an abundance of space for everyone. Though it may appear busy by some of the pics, it was not overcrowded. There were plenty of tiki huts, tons of chairs and no real need to reserve anything. The resort is large and nicely laid out so there's no one place where everyone goes. Every part of the resort is refreshing and fun There are concierges placed at each building and they make the reservations and get you anything you need, very easy. The lazy river was just that, lazy and quiet. The whole resort is surrounded by water and waterfalls, it was very relaxing. The rooms are nice and very cool w/programmable thermostats. Bathrooms are marble w/tubs and are very clean. The maids are excellent. Our fridge was stocked daily with beer & water. We visited the Grand next door and it is beautiful and more expensive. It was very quiet and there weren't many people around. The resort is beautiful, immaculate and very well managed, you won't be disappointed!! Craig, OH

8/08 - There are a lot of resorts near Cancun and I researched alot of resorts, but my travel agent suggested Iberostar. I am very glad that I took her suggestion since the Iberostar was nearly perfect. Thanks to my travel agent for all her help and knowledge (www.vacationagent.net).
The resort was beautiful with lush flora and immaculate landscaping. The pools were incredible. Nice room which was cleaned everyday with the new towel animal. 24-hour room service. 13 restaurants. 10 bars. 5 pools. Huge sandy beach. Great entertainment. The food was good. It wasnt too fancy, but it was good quality and tasty. Drinks a little watered down, but drink a couple extra and you'll get the desired effects (or order an extra shot). Swim up pool bars were nice.
The beach was very nice, plenty of shade or sun. Bars were at convenient locations and there was even a beach grill area with a huge selection for lunch. There were non-motorized water sports.
All of the staff was friendly and professional, except the reception desk. Lobby staff was unfriendly. All other staff was great. They worked really hard around this resort.
The spa was extremely nice. It's worth the money to find out.
We were totally impressed. We didnt want to leave and will definitely go back! Jeff, Chicago

6/08 My husband and I and our daughter (12) stayed at the Lindo for two weeks in June. Absolutely beautiful hotel and grounds. On our arrival at the hotel while checking in we were greeted with an ice cold drink! Nice spacious room with two double beds and a sofa, table and chairs and very clean. We tipped our maid US$1 each day and she left us nice towel designs and chocolates which my daughter loved. We managed to book quite a few of the restaurants and ate in the Japanese (twice), Cajun (twice), Mexican (twice), Steakhouse (twice) and Chinese (once). The buffet breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choices. We also preferred to eat the buffet lunch in the same place as it was air conditioned. The buffet restaurant by the pool had nice food but it was too hot to eat in there as they opened all the windows and only had fans.
For the first few days of our trip it was very hot and humid and then we had tons of rain for two days followed by more hot and humid weather and then another few days of rain! It was sunny the day we left though!
The pools were fantastic, we all loved the lazy river and wave pool but also liked the main pool and getting ice cream and drinks from the swim up bar. We are not great beach lovers (preferring the pool) and found it too hot there in the day as most of the sun beds with shade were taken early, so we went to the beach some evenings when there was a nice breeze and plenty of shade. My husband went swimming and said the water was a great temperature but there was quite a strong current.
We did walk over to the other hotels and used the pool at the Paraiso Beach and Del Mar one day, however preferred the facilities at the Lindo/Maya. While staying at the Lindo you can use the facilities at the other three hotels (apart from the private pools at the Maya), however guests at the Beach and Del Mar cannot use the facilities at the Lindo/Maya.We did one trip to Xcaret and my daughter and husband swam with the dolphins which they said was a wonderful experience.
Overall we had a great vacation although the weather was a bit too hot and humid for comfort! The staff all work hard to keep the place immaculately clean and were always cheerful and smiling and everyone greeting us with a cheerful 'hola' when we passed by! We would go back to the Lindo again but at a different time of year when it is a bit cooler! Maria, MI

5/08 This was our 3rd time at this property.
We have to say that the whole property is beautiful. The pools are super. Bars/drinks excellent. The service is excellent. The speciality restaurants were very good. The Japanese is excellent. The buffet for both lunch and dinner seemed "lacking" when compared to our experiences at the Paraiso, Bavaro and RIU.
Although we have always found plenty of food at all the buffets, never went hungry. One thing we have always done is take advantage of all the fresh fruits and bottled water and ice cream and desserts. We have never had any sickness or gastric problems.
The speciality restaurants stay booked; book them when you arrive. If you can wait, book for the later times. This just gives you more time in the day to enjoy the beauty of the resort. Take advantage of every moment.
We like the all inclusives because they are exactly that---all inclusive food/drinks at beautiful resorts. Jim, Ohio

5/08 We just got back from Mexico and the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo was the most beautiful place. I felt like I was in paradise. Everything was clean and the staff was at your service all of the time. The pools were so large. We drank and ate to our heart's desire. Cannot forget the ice-cream bar. The food was ok, not what I am used to in NY, but was very nice. I can't complain too much since all my clothes are tight. We walked alot so that helped some. It was very hot but with the pools, ocean, cold drinks and ice-cream we were ok. I recommend this resort highly.

4/08 My husband and I stayed at the Lindo in April. It was awesome! Everything was excellent, the people, the food, the service, the grounds, the pool.
We loved it!! We had such a good time!! We ate at alot of the resturants. The Jambalya one of my favs-The Coconut shrimp is the best!! The steak house was delicious, as well as the Japanese. The breakfast buffet at the Delmar was wonderfull especially the homemade donuts made to order. Every resturant was at least four stars to us. We did not have a bad meal in the resturants so it is worth making the reservations.
We brought $100 in ones. Well worth it. The staff works their butts off. They deserve tips. They dont make a heck of alot to start with. We tipped everyone and they were very thankful. It was nice to see their gratefull faces when they recieved it.
Everyday we came back to the room and we had fresh flowers and petals as well as a different animal made out of towels.
One day I came back and had fresh flowers in the bath water and flowers around the bathroom. Another day she tied the curtains fancy and tied the sheets fancy like fan with flower petals spread all around the bed and two swans made of towels with a heart.
If you're planning to go to this resort, defintely stay at the Lindo or the Maya. You can go to all of the properties. I met some people their that were at the Delmar side and she couldn't use the other pools, resturants, or beach. The swim up bar, the wave pool, the theater, and the kids' camp is on the Lindo property.
I would recomend this resort to anyone!! My husband and I love to travel and we love this place. I cant wait to get back there!!! Jackie, Ohio
