The Secrets Capri Riviera Cancun is superbly nestled amid 71 acres of lush greenery bordered by a sugar-white beach and a mesmerizing multi-blue Caribbean Sea. Nearby barrier reefs and Mayan archaeological sites heighten this perfect location.
This tropical oasis was designed to reflect the charm of a Mexican hacienda with a splash of Mediterranean flavor and truly embraces the splendor and fine services of a top quality Resort. The lobby with polished marble floors and tasteful furnishings opens to a grand staircase over a waterfall and lagoon. Rich oil paintings, landscape murals, chandeliers and great vistas of the Caribbean beyond create a lasting impression.
Dining is a la carte with an array of dining choices. Himitsu specializes in a fusion of Pan-Asian and Oriental delicacies, Oceana with breath taking views of the ocean offers fresh gourmet seafood in a romantic setting while Portofino explores exotic flavors of the Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, keeping with the pace of the latest cooking trends and Epicurean classics. La Riviera introduces the best in Mexican fare and the Seaside Grill right on the beach is easily found by aromas of grilled seafood and meats. Note: Reservations requirements does not fit the philosophy nor is a wearing a wristband.
The Spa at Secrets Capri offers more than 30 restorative treatments and hydrotherapies, including the one of a kind "Spa Garden" in lush gardens where whirlpools featuring cascading waterfalls invite guests to lounge in warm shallow water with penetrating jet sprays; a place to soothe the soul and feel renewed.

4/08 The quality of the facility is second to none. The employees all work very hard at making everything just perfect. The door man knew five languages and was proficient in all five. My wife and I experienced 7 days of top level attention and service in all areas. We had a consierge that was right on top of everything and he accomodated us at every request with a smile and total follow through. The food is something to behold in every (5)restaurant within the facility. The entertainmaent was always full of energy and the effort to please was great. We were able to go sailing at any time we pleased, snorkeling, hadan unending supply of drinks, champagne in the room, bubblebaths with rose petels, rose petals scatterred on the sheets in the evening and so much more that I could write for hours. This vacation will definitely be hard to beat. Tim NH

4/08 Me and my wife (both 29) visited Secrets Capri the first week of April, 2008.
The rooms are classy, clean and roomy. Bathroom is also very nice but unless you have a master suite, the hot tub is small, not big enough for two. The beds are VERY firm.
There is one pool very large and has one quiet side and one side had a bar, need I say more. I was on the bar side and had a blast but don't misinterpret this, it is not a partying drinking crowd but still a fun crowd, mostly newlyweds! Around the pool they always had something going. Pool Basketball, Volleyball, games, music. It closes at 8:00pm, not a big deal but it would be nice to take a dip after dinner.
The beach was also great, they are out their every morning raking it. It has nice tiki huts for shade, water sports were readily available with limited wait times.
They have 5 restaurants, all were very good, great service and very accommodating. They have a seafood restaurant, Asian restaurant, Italian restaurant, steak restaurant, and a buffet. YOU CAN Drink the water, no one there was sick and me and my wife drank the water and had ice in our drinks, it was all filtered. But don't get crazy and drink something in town.
They have a nightly theme and show. Most of the shows were fair.
Night life is limited to none, at 11pm the place pretty much shuts down except a few nights that have something going on then it is 12:00. so if you are into the late night party this is not for you.
I did not go to the spa but my wife did and she said it was one of the best she had ever been to, and from everyone I spoke to at the resort they said it is great.
Playa Del Carmen is about 15 minutes down the road, great shopping and a lot to look at. Also from their you can take the ferry to Cozumel for $22.00us round trip. There is great high end shopping and better deals. We rented a car and that worked out great. Cab fares into town were about $15 each way and the car rental was $125 for the week. It was not bad and driving was pretty safe since there is only one road there and it is like a highway, everything is off that.
Snorkeling and scuba are both great there.
So if you are looking for a laid back, romantic, relaxing place this is it. This is perfect for couples only. There is nothing for the single here except good views of married women and married men. Me and my wife would definitely go back. Todd-Michigan

1/08 I have been to three Sandals resorts, two in Jamaica and one in St.Lucia, and you can not beat this resort. We arrived Dec.26, this resort was full capacity, check in took less than five minutes and everyone was overly friendly. The resort has about four different room categories but all the rooms looked the same, beautiful rooms. Dinner was great at all the restaurants except we did not eat at the buffet. Our favourite was Capri Italian restaurant and the Japenese restaurant where the service and food was just a little better. The only down side I had about dinner was they took no reservations, sometimes you have to wait on a list to be sat but we never waited longer than 35 min. They also had a premium wine list where you can order some good wines with dinner at very good price, no great mark up.The resort has a lot of premium drinks, you name it they probably had it. No waiting for drinks, quick service.
The resort itself is very beautiful and well-maintained, there was enough beach chairs, pool chairs, rafts. One thing I agree on is there is not much day time activities or limited night time shows, but you can walk the beach, go to xelha for the snorkeling, you will love it. At night time go to Playa de Carmen and walk down 5th ave., this road is closed off for about 4 miles all down each side and it is full of restaurants, shops, bars, jazz bars, discos, this street is alive just like south beach till late into the night. Loved the resort! Liz-MN
